Perdriel Coleccion Malbec 2010

Mendoza, Argentina
PLCB Code# 72400
This brute of a red delivers a smoky mix of plum sauce, cassis, nutmeg and mocha flavors, all framed by grippy tannins. Needs some time in the cellar to settle down. Best from 2014 through 2018.–NW

This wine was aged for 10 months in French oak.  There are red fruit and herbal aromas.  The fruit flavors are ripe cherry, and there is medium acid and tannin. It has been 2 ½ years since the review above, and this bottle was much less tannic. It is a nice Malbec, more red fruit than dark.  Overall I liked the La Posta more.
